Questions & answers

Your swipes. Your choices.

I’m swiping. Why aren’t my photos deleted from my camera roll?

Swiping left only marks a photo. The marked photos are deleted when you confirm on the review screen. It opens at the end of the list (a month, Recents, On This Day…), or earlier from the trash button when it is available.

Can I undo a swipe?

Yes. Tap the undo button, or the photo itself, to go back while swiping. You can also change any choice on the review screen before confirming.

Can I get a deleted photo back?

On iPhone, photos deleted with Swipewipe can be recovered from Recently Deleted for up to 30 days, unless you permanently delete them sooner. See iPhone recovery steps. On Android, deletion is final: the photo is removed from your phone, but a copy backed up in Google Photos stays intact. Check Android recovery options.

Can I stop in the middle of a month?

Yes. Leave the app whenever you want: a progress wheel next to the month shows how much is done, and you pick up where you stopped.

Why don’t I see the current month?

Each month appears in the list once it is over. Your latest photos are in Recents.

Questions & answers

Your photo library.

Why does Swipewipe need full access to my photos?

To show you every photo and video, and delete the ones you choose. Limited access to a selection of photos is not supported.

Does Swipewipe work with Google Photos?

Swipewipe can sort photos and videos stored locally on your phone, including local copies backed up to Google Photos. It does not browse your cloud-only Google Photos library. On iPhone, photos kept in iCloud Photos are downloaded as you swipe through them. On Android, you can also sort the photos and videos stored in OneDrive.

Do I need an account?

No. On iPhone, you can sign in with Apple to receive promotional offers and product updates, but it is optional.

Questions & answers

Free version & subscription.

Is Swipewipe free?

Yes, you can download and use Swipewipe for free, with ads. The free version limits the number of swipes: when you reach the limit, a countdown starts before you can continue, or you can watch a short video to get more swipes. The subscription removes the ads and the limits, and unlocks extra features such as the photo enhancer on iPhone.

How do I cancel my subscription on iPhone?

Open Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Select Swipewipe, then Cancel Subscription. If no cancellation button appears or an expiration message is shown, it is already canceled.

How do I cancel my subscription on Android?

Open your subscriptions in Google Play using the account you subscribed with. Select Swipewipe, tap Cancel subscription and follow the instructions. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a Google Play subscription.

I paid, but my subscription isn’t recognized. What should I do?

Contact our support team with your phone model, app version and whether you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play. Get in touch so we can help with your situation.
